CloudB Twilight Turtle Review

When I saw this beautiful Twilight Turtle by CloudB I immediately thought it would be a great idea to include this in our Back 2 School Bash. This turtle is great not only for small children at home (my kids love it!) but I was also thinking of daycares and special needs classrooms. This Twilight Turtle projects a complete starry night sky onto your child or classroom’s ceiling/walls in your choice of three different colors: amber, blue, or green.

It also includes this Star Guide where children can sit down with the parent or teacher and identify eight major constellations! The illustrations in this Star Guide are simple and eyecatching. The Twilight Turtle is simple for any child to use. You simply need to push the power button, then push the button you desire for a different color. It has a ‘time out’ function to save the batteries (uses three AAA batteries). I love that it has the time out function and will automatically shut itself off!

I didn’t realize this until I looked on CloudB’s website but the Twilight Turtle is handpainted on its shell! The color choices you have for the starry projection are incredibly soothing. My kids absolutely love this turtle. We are currently using it as a nightlight for the kids at bedtime, but if you plan on using it in a classroom, special needs care, or daycare center you will need the room to be fairly dark in order to see the stars.

I was really very impressed with CloudB’s Twlight Turtle! The first night we turned on our turtle my kids were “oohing” and “aahing” for quite a while! Instead of their usual bouncing around and chatting back and forth, they just really focused on all of the beautiful stars that lit up their bedroom. The entire room is covered in stars when Twilight is on- even the walls! The kids actually started fighting over which color light would show- so we had to start taking turns. The shade of colors that Twilight projects is very soothing. My kids both have a very difficult time winding down and falling asleep at night, so Twilight was a great mood setter for their bedtime routine. The first few nights I was totally enamored with the stars on the boys ceiling and walls, I almost took it after they were sleeping so I could use it in my room!!

In fact every time we travel my kids insist on bringing Twilight along! CloudB offers other sleepy products such as blankets, soothing sounds animals, twilight animals (turtle, sea turtle, and ladybug), and more. The Twilight Turtle we received retails for $29.95 and after trying out our Twilight I would definitely purchase this for my children again. I recommend it for kids that are scared of the dark, a gift to your child after a starry event, for classrooms and special needs rooms to help set a calmer mood, and really anyone else. This is a great product and I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family!
